KUNDANOOR
About Kundanoor
Kundanoor is small village near Cochin.Most of area are swamps and are reclaimed for constructing highways and hotels. NH-47 bypass, NH 49, NH 47A are going through Kundanoor. The Galfar group also have setup its convention center & Hotel Le-Meridian here, at Kundanoor Junction. It will be in furture amalgamated into Cochin City due to meet the requirement of land for the city to expand.Kundanoor is the first Decentralised waste management processing in panchayat areas through bio-bins.This programme is organised by the Clean Kochi movement, the social project of the Kochi branch of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India, the bio-bins method was adopted by one of the residents' association in Kundanoor.Kudumbasree units in the area would be leading the project , and this kudumbasree units are the back born of Kundanoor.
